Teaching Awards

I am the recipient of UOIT's CJPS Faculty Teaching Award, which was awarded in 2009.

I also received the UOIT Teaching Award in 2008, and received the award again in 2012.

The purpose of the UOIT award is to provide recognition for teaching excellence, encourage its pursuit, publicize such excellence when achieved across the university and in the wider community, and to promote informed discussion of teaching and its improvement. The award demonstrates the value UOIT attaches to teaching and recognizes those who, through innovation and commitment, have significantly enhanced the quality of learning by UOIT students.

Nominations are assessed in relation to the contributions of the nominees to one or more of the following categories:

Use of technology to support teaching and learning
Development of curriculum (courses, programs, units, modules)
Demonstration of creative and/or unique teaching strategies/resources/materials
Enhancement of student experience in and/or beyond the classroom
